Hallucinate

The words you say create images in my head until I hallucinate about the things you’ve said
Flesh vibrating regularly from the wind in the membrane sacks
past unbound muscle and collagen pockets that like to flap
Some grunting non-committal from behind the noise-making orifice
Ends the cacophony of hallucinogenic sound from this ape of avarice

The choices you made are violence; I chose survival.
Your end should not surprise you, as you precipitated its arrival
the colors blend into sound into flavors into tactile susurrations
squeezing the colors out of your melody and accepting invitations

Shadow People

One-touch
The light comes on
The strength returns
The doubt is gone

I can run forever

One breath
The pain is gone
Doubt disappears
Nothing is wrong

I can run forever

To live
We first must die
One clean Stab
We open the eye

I can see forever

Alive
No rules apply
Fire-powered machine
And the world will fry

I will live forever

In time
My brothers arrive
Whispering to me
That the plan goes live

I have lost forever

Bleeding out
The lights turn off
Slipping to abyss
With Kalashnikov

I am the never

But I remember the shadow people
I remember the shadow people
I remember the shadow people
I remember the shadow people

I can live forever

They speak
Whisper to me
Another little touch
A can be

I will burn forever

Ride edges
They call to me
Planning my demise
I need to see

Into the forever

But I remember the shadow people
I remember the shadow people
I remember the shadow people
I remember the shadow people

Constant companions
Do they die when I sleep
Do they walk when awake
must maintain for their sake

I remember the shadow people
I remember the shadow people
I remember the shadow people
I remember the shadow people

Funk Shun

Executive dysfunction ’cause my brain go stop
trippin’ on my sandals ’cause my flip don’t flop

The rumble of the river calling order to the jungle
If there’s no more faith, then call Mr. Bungle

I don’t take drugs, just carry them along
in a convenient place tucked into my thong

or under my tongue, so I know they exist
or down the throat so they’re eventually pissed

But this is a salad of only one fruiting body
No mycellium here because that would be naughty

Dragged through the windows of the soul of the eyes
I hope these people won’t see through this disguise

What do I do now that I am doing what they thought I could done?
Fucked up and made it and now I’m the one

Imposter Imposter, put down that computer
step up to the bar for another blue shooter

These yellow jackets sting but they keep us going
the bozos with benzos sleep walk never knowing

but I am at the party where the fun refuses to stop
and I can’t walk away because my flip don’t flop

Hunger

Inner roiling craving nourishment
This is a reaching for osmosis
the lesser concentration reaching for the greater to join and disappear

the space, the void, craving alike
stretch to familiarity
to seek comfort in the finality that is blocked in purity of fear

the acid bath of oblivion
slaking of the thirst for desiccation
running away from the accumulation, the world’s faithful adhere

bare bone is far too much
the isolation of zero kelvin
a single hydrogen atom gaining consciousness in the nether

a silence profound
a hurricane’s eye reaching infinity
in a universe of released impossible weather

push the bubble out
create the negative space
that folds in on itself and the fracture lines feather

and break

into particles

that go unobserved as they fold into waves

breaking the event horizon of the nothing to bring me back to you

This Reality

a moment caught in a blink
the image, the lingering after-image
etched on the inside of my eyelid in negative relief
Which reality do I follow?

the one laid out before me
the one perceived when the lights go down
this shadowed landscape that flashes faster than perception
as the light finishes its relativistic trip through the retina

then slows down to nerve impulse level
a mere spark through an electrochemical medium
looming large for an instant
showing the glowing lines of light’s reflection, refraction

As perception rules reality, reality bends for a blink
Then I breathe and take a step
into the brand new world
created in that instant

darkness chased away
gentle fingers of my lashes no longer tangled
my eyes unfettered
I face the new day created a thousand times

to be destroyed again
