Edge of Nothing and Everything

The walls are getting closer
The echoes coming faster
The message from the feedback is that I’m a fake disaster

Running ’til the walls fade
The ledge is getting thinner
The void is calling to me; I’m no fucking beginner

The repetition drowns out
The encouragement from love
The pit is cold comfort from the pressure that’s above

Take the final step, and the pain will go away
The hands holding on to me are begging me to stay
The agony of going on is building every day
And the silence is killing me every time I pray

The voices getting louder
And the hands filled with care
Holding me from the edge, so I won’t go there

Should I ask for help?
Should I take the leap?
A promise says I’ll stay, but not sure it’s one I keep

Forgive me for this pain
An agony to share
Don’t let the broken chemicals convince me noone’s there.

Take the final step, and the pain will go away
The hands holding on to me are begging me to stay
The agony of going on is building every day
And the silence is killing me every time I pray
